St. Albert’s college is a minority community institution set up to provide educational facilities to the members of the Roman Catholic Latin Christian Community of Kochi. Over the years, it has grown into front-runner first Grade College providing educational opportunities to one and all irrespective of caste, community or religion.
The college, right from its beginning has been owned and managed by the Archdiocese of Verapoly, the founder Patron being the late Archbishop Most Reverend Dr. Joseph Attipetty. The present patron is the present Archbishop, His Grace Dr. Francis Kallarackal.
The Governing Council of the St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) reviews the mode of functioning of the college in the light of policy discussions relating to matters on higher education. It is well supported by Academic Council, Boards of Studies, Finance Committee, Controller of Examinations & Team, and other statutory and functional committees of the College.
